ABOUT US:
The primary mission of Another Way is providing voluntary peer-run alternatives for people who avoid conventional mental health services. We operate a center offering peer support, community, information, resources and advocacy for psychiatric survivors* and people currently or formerly at serious risk of psychiatric intervention.
*Peer: an equal with similar life experience. “Psychiatric survivor”: someone who was given a psychiatric diagnosis and subjected to the mental health system, whether by compulsion, coercion or choice.
