Hello my name is Lori Demers, and this is my story.

I came to Vermont 3 years ago in November. When I arrived, I was homeless. I spent a week or so at the overflow shelter at Bethany Church. I called Good Samaritan Haven everyday until I secured a bed there. I was at Good Samaritan approximately 1 year. I was then sent to The Nest which was another form of shelter. After about 1 1/2 years, I finally secured a place to live and I also purchased a car, and a job here at Another Way, The main purpose of this story is to show people if they put their mind towards a goal, it can be accomplished.
