Position Description
The House Manager is a 30-hour position responsible for ensuring functionality of the community center. Oversees staffing, supplies, and programs in collaboration with other staff to ensure a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for the Another Way community.
Essential Functions
Establish and maintain a system of order and accountability in Another Way house operations, building on existing systems.
Coordinate shift worker tasks to ensure consistency and equity for guests, and accountability to our funders.
Exert gentle authority with staff and guests to ensure physical and emotional safety for all.
Oversee Another Way house. Maintains cleanliness, safety, and functionality of Another Way premises in accordance with mission, regulations, organizational policy, and as directed by executive director.
Maintains inventory of house supplies. Prepares orders and tracks deliveries to the house including of donated items.
Monitoring maintenance needs and collaborate with executive director and maintenance manager to address maintenance and repair needs
Prepares purchase orders and pre-approvals and stocks all house supplies.
Completes all required training as determined by the executive director.
Desired Skills and Knowledge
Lived experience as a psychiatric consumer/survivor/ex-patient
Knowledge of psychiatric survivor history and the importance of peer support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Supervisory experience
Conflict resolution and mediation skills
Effective time management
Strong organizational skills
Administrative experience
Computer literacy
Peer support, counseling, or social work experience
30 Hours/week, pay rate $20-$25/hour, depending on experience.
